Mark McAuliffe
Executive Director
Mark McAuliffe, a seasoned executive leadership coach and business strategist, brings over 30 years of experience in corporate leadership, consulting, and economic innovation to his new role. Known for his vision, execution, and commitment to community, McAuliffe has advised companies, nonprofits, and government entities nationwide. His appointment marks a new chapter of bold leadership and strengthened partnerships throughout Clay County and the Kansas City metro area. A North Kansas City High School graduate and University of Kansas alum, McAuliffe was raised in Clay County and returned in 2007 after nearly two decades working across the country. He and his wife live in Kearney, where they are active community members. He is widely respected for his integrity, faith, and ability to inspire others to lead with purpose

Operations & Events Coordinator
Caroline, a proud resident of Clay County’s Northland and a summa cum laude graduate from Liberty University, joined the Clay County Economic Development Council to support our ED with daily operations and event coordination. Caroline is detail-oriented and has 10 years of experience supporting teams through thoughtful planning, clear communication, and smooth execution. Skilled at managing logistics, coordinating people and details, and keeping events and day-to-day operations running seamlessly from start to finish. Known for staying calm in fast-paced environments and taking pride in creating efficient processes and well-run, welcoming experiences.
