The Clay County Economic Development Council is seeking nominations for the annual Keystone Recognition Awards.

The awards will be presented at the EDC's membership luncheon Tuesday, Dec. 6, at Harrah’s North Kansas City. The deadline for submissions is Nov. 10.

The Keystone Recognition Awards honor businesses that have made a significant contribution to Clay County's economy and quality of life. They recognize companies that are new to our area, as well as existing firms.

Winning nominations should meet at least two of four criteria: significant capital investment; new/refurbished building, equipment, technologies, etc.; employment increase; improvements to neighborhoods and/or business districts, including housing, amenities and capital improvements; or use of services provided by the EDC.

Winning nominations must be located in Clay County and substantially completed by Dec. 31, 2011.
