Federal Reserve Advisor to Address EDC Luncheon Sept. 19
Dell Gines, Federal Reserve Bank Community Development Advisor, will be the keynote speaker for the Sept. 19 Look North Luncheon.
A highlight of this year's anual meeting will be a presentation of the 2019 Strategic Initiative update, including conclusions from three community meetings and programs to continue Clay County's quality growth.Gines is the Senior Community Development Advisor for the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. He is committed to helping empower economically distressed communities through innovative economic development strategies. Gines is a national leader in entrepreneurship led economic development and ecosystem building. He has authored three guides and one eBook on the subject. His most recent work is a research report on Black Women Businesses.
Gines has been asked to speak in over 18 states and 40 cities during his six years at the Bank, including serving as the keynote at the National Economic Gardening Conference and the International Community Development conference.
Sponsored by the Clay County Economic Development Council, the annual event will also feature the 2019 Clay County Strategic Initiative update. Earlier this year, the EDC sponsored three community meetings to gather input for updating the five-year-old Initiative, which in just five years helped generate thousands of jobs and improve quality of life.
