Smithville Ranked Second “Best High School” in Missouri
Smithville High School received a top ranking by U.S. News & World Report on the publication’s recent "2019 Best High Schools" list.
The U.S. News Best High Schools rankings include data on more than 23,000 public high schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia. More than 17,000 schools were ranked on six factors based on their performance on state assessments and how well they prepare students for college.
In the state of Missouri, Smithville High School ranked second out of 291 Missouri schools honored in the 2019 U.S. News Best High Schools rankings. Lafayette High School in Wildwood near St. Louis was the top ranked school in the state.
“This recognition confirms what we have known all along,” said Dr. Todd Schuetz, Smithville superintendent. “We have a strong academic program with a talented staff that excel at supporting students. We are also blessed with a supportive community that entrusts us with some pretty awesome kids!”
