State of the Cities Luncheon Set Feb. 28

A new I-35 interchange in Kearney was among the exciting announcements at the 2018 State of the Cities Luncheon. Several surprises are expected for the 2019 event planned for Feb. 28.

The Clay County Economic Development Council will host the 2019 State of the Cities Luncheon on Thursday, Feb. 28, at Harrah's North Kansas City Hotel and Casino, 1 Riverboat Drive, North Kansas City. Registration and networking begin at 11:15 a.m., and the luncheon is at 11:30 a.m.

The event will feature new and exciting developments from the public and private sphere, with several projects unveiled or detailed for the first time.

Cities presenting information on new and recent developments will include Excelsior Springs, Gladstone, Kansas City, Kearney, Lawson, Liberty, North Kansas City, Pleasant Valley and Smithville. Each will review public and private developments, as well as future plans within their communities.
