The KC Tech Academy will move into the former Early Childhood Educatioon Center in Pleasant Valley starting Feb. 1.
Currently located in Liberty’s Heartland Meadows business park, the academy is part of the EDC’s Big 4 strategic initiative and targets creation of a world-class workforce training center. The new location is the former North Kansas City School District Early Childhood Learning Center and, before that, an elementary school.
“Our plan is to continue fundraising and hopefully get back to the Liberty location and build as planned,” noted Kim Palomarez, executive director. “While doing so, this location should work perfectly for us.”
The academy will return from its holiday break Jan. 5 in the Heartland Meadows location. Following the Jan. 18 Martin Luther King Holiday, classes will resume via a virtual learning platform, Jan. 19 through 29. In person classes will then commence Feb. 1 at the new location, 6800 Sobbie Rd., Pleasant Valley.
More information about the academy is available on their website, kctechacademy.com.
