Northland Schools Alliance

Part of the EDC's Marketing Committee, the Northland Schools Alliance is a collaborative effort involving all of Clay and Platte counties public and private school districts working in conjunction with the EDC. Founded by the EDC's Marketing Committee, the Northland Schools Alliance stresses the outstanding quality of Northland schools and the large range of choices, including top-ranked public schools and prestigious private organizations.

The Northland Schools Alliance provides detailed information on area schools that is valuable for local residents and those interested in the Northland. For more information, visit the NSA's Web site, www.northlandschools.com.

Clay County Schools Earn Honors
A major reason for the formation of the NSA was the often overlooked quality of local education. Clay County is fortunate to host some of the area's best public school districts. The area is also home to nationally honored William Jewell College and Maple Woods Community College.

Area public school districts include highly ranked North Kansas City, Liberty, Excelsior Springs, Kearney and Smithville. Neighboring Platte County has the Park Hill School District and the Platte County R-III District. All of these districts provide both quality education and important community focus.

Clay County is also fortunate to be served by the excellent Mid-Continent Public Library System, which maintains branches in most Northland communities and a cutting-edge computer access network. In addition, North Kansas City operates a high quality, independent municipal library.
